This panoramic terrace, built into the Danube escarpment in 2018, offers an impressive view of the landing stage in the idyllic village of Kasten. This is located in the reservoir area of the Jochenstein Danube power station and is the starting point for Danube boat trips to Passau several times a day during the summer season. Until the 1930s, rafts were built in Kasten to transport timber down the Danube. An information board at the landing stage provides an insight into this bygone era of Danube rafting.
