Bookstore Neugebauer

The familiar location on Linz's Taubenmarkt, which many have known and loved for years, has been a thing of the past since mid-2024. It now smells of cinnamon buns instead of paper and printer's ink.

But: the Neugebauer bookshop lives on.

Since December 2024, we have a new location - on the campus of the Johannes Kepler University Linz - where we continue with fresh energy what has always been important to you and us: personal advice, good books, a place to browse, to ask questions, to linger. All of this is supported by a young team that wants to preserve the tried and tested and dare to try something new.

And the most important thing: we are not a university bookshop, but a bookshop at the university.

Of course, you will find specialist literature for many fields of study - from law to technology to psychology. But our claim goes beyond that:

We want to be a lively retreat on campus - a place where you can not only find books for your studies, but also stories that entertain, move and open up new perspectives.

Our range is just as diverse as our visitors: fiction, non-fiction, children's and young adult books, English literature, crime novels, travel guides, mangas, educational literature, games, stationery, office supplies, original gift ideas - and in the middle of it all: space to browse, discover and take a deep breath.
