Kammerspiele

The Kammerspiele was built according to plans by Prof. Clemens Holzmeister and opened with Franz Werfel's "Paulus unter den Juden" on 28 September 1957.
Right next to the Schauspielhaus, visitors will find the Kammerspiele, built in 1957, on the Promenade. These are also home to numerous theatre productions. The premises have 400 seats for guests and room for an orchestra with 25 musicians.
In addition to classical drama, the Kammerspiele is also home to the Young Theatre with many plays. Various guest performances also take place, such as the "Freispiel" production or performances of plays by the Upper Austrian Amateur Theatre Association.
