Perger Faschingsgilde

The Perger Carnival Guild was founded in 2004. The greeting of the Perger Guild is: Müh Müh!
There have been many events and activities for the guild during this time. Every year between 11 November and Shrove Tuesday - the so-called "fifth season" - a prince and princess reign in Perg.
Many events were organised: up to and including 2017, four carnival parades were held, with the one in 2008 being the biggest and best with over 760 participants, including 11 guilds from all over Upper Austria and around 12,000 visitors.
Two guard meetings were organised, each with 500 guard girls from all over Austria, who felt very much at home in Perg. The same applies to the participants of the three guard trainer seminars that were held in Perg. Trainers travelled from all over Austria to attend.
The Perg Carnival Guild is represented in the umbrella organisation BÖF (Federation of Austrian Carnival Guilds) and is a member of the NEG (Foolish European Community).
It all started with eight people. Today, the guild consists of many members, including our proud teen guard. To date, there are a total of 14 prince and princess couples, of whom the people of Perg are very proud. All in all, a foolish community which, as a cultural association, is an ambassador in Austria and Europe. (Status: Feb. 2017)
