We specialise in cheese from Austria. Top quality, preferably from organic milk, is particularly important. Processing the milk using traditional, artisanal methods is another important step towards achieving a special product quality. Naturally, our own products made from organic goat's milk are also produced according to these criteria.
Christian Somann has seen a lot of the world. Born in Bavaria, he has lived in Switzerland and travelled to Panama, Costa Rica and Brazil. But he and his Brazilian wife Sandra and his Brazilian wife Sandra in Esternberg, high above the banks of the Danube. The couple put a lot of energy and hard work into the small farm in the Innviertel region, built up an organic farm with a small herd of goats and laid the foundations for the trained dairyman to fuel his passion for cheesemaking.The cheeses made by the Somann family - Christian and Sandra are joined by their son Rafael - are genuine regional specialities. The basic product, organic goat's milk, comes from the region. It is processed on site using exclusively artisanal processes and with the highest quality standards. And the finished cheese specialities can only be bought in the region. Directly at the farm in Esternberg and at the local markets markets where Christian Somann sells his cheese. These delicacies may not travel far, but they are definitely worth the journey.
