The city library sees itself as a promoter of reading, as a meeting place for cultural encounters, further education and integration, but also as a place where you can browse through books in a cosy and personal atmosphere.

Approximately 11,000 media items are available for hire over an area of 160 m². The wide and up-to-date range of media is divided into adult, children's and youth literature, novels, thrillers, foreign-language literature, audio books, language courses, CDs, DVDs, games and much more.
The media collection is constantly being expanded and supplemented with current and important new publications. Young readers are particularly important to the library team. After all, good, uplifting children's literature is important for young people's future reading behaviour.

All readers - including children - can help themselves to the bookshelves. If you would like a tip, information or advice, the trained staff will be happy to help you.
