City Tower

Enns, Oberösterreich, Österreich
  • All weather
  • Suitable for groups

The tower consists largely of conglomerate rock, granite and tile. It measures 10.75 m in the square and along with the tower figure is 60 m high. It is a four-storey ashlar with corner pilaster strips, double seat arches, friezes and “Kaffgesimsen”. The tower combines Gothic and Renaissance works. The division into four fields (bullets) and especially the roof indicate already the Gothic style. The south side (front display) shows a pointed arche and above in the 1st Field a sundial and above again a Latin inscription. When you go up you will see the new Pixel Hotelroom, the clockwork from the year 1564 and the 6 bells. On top will have a great view!
