The Atelierhaus Salzamt is a cultural institution of the city of Linz centrally located on the Danube.

The Atelierhaus Salzamt offers flats and studios for five international artists, four studios for local artists, a large exhibition hall with ongoing operations and project space for artistic projects.

On the occasion of the Capital of Culture Year 2009, the Salzamt was renovated by the City of Linz and equipped with artists' studios. It is now a place of international artist exchange.

The studios are available as a base and workshop for the development of creative work.
creative work. In the 170 square metre exhibition hall on the ground floor of the Salzamt, the works created in Linz are presented in exhibitions. But lectures, discussions, presentations and other events also take place here.
Several times a year the studios are opened as part of the Open Studio Day to give interested art lovers an insight into the artists' everyday work. Studio visits by schools can also be arranged in the course of art education.
