Inner City Theatre

Enjoy a relaxed, funny or thoughtful evening in the family setting of the theatre in the city centre

Since the beginning of 2011, the former Varieté Theater Chamäleon has been run by the new owner Nik Raspotnik and his team under the name Theater in der Innenstadt.

An essential aspect of the theatre is to constantly increase the quality of the productions, to promote Upper Austrian actors and authors and to focus largely on in-house productions.

The decision to do without amateur actors and to hire only trained performers proved to be absolutely right. The theatre in the city centre has since established itself as a venue where musical theatre and, above all, musical comedies are performed in an informal setting.

Since opening in 2011, the theatre has been able to continuously increase its visitor and performance numbers. The theatre currently hosts around 100 events per year and we expect over 10,000 visitors.
