This Donausteig rest area is located by the forest’s edge of a rural plateau high above the Danube valley. After the thick forests you get an incredible view into the distance! Glances wander beyond the deep Danube valley straight to the magnificent Mühlviertel region. Slightly to the left we can see the opposing beautiful Bavarian landscape. Whether it’s because of the connecting landscapes or the invisible border, one may start to ponder about separation, connection, mine, yours… - a place to think about!
