The k.u.k. court gardener Franz Rauch built a two-story cottage in the Tudor style for Empress Elisabeth between 1856 and 1861 in the park of the Kaiservilla using marble from the mountain "Untersberg" (near Salzburg). Originally, the cottage served as a breakfast salon for the imperial family; currently, changing exhibitions that make reference to the region Salzkammergut and the House of Habsburg are on display.
