Here in Engelhartszell – 25 km down the Danube to Passau and 60 km from Linz – you can find the first shipping pier of Austria. It is situated below the Nibelungen state road (lift bridge for various entrance heights and large bus parking).
A visit to the Danube market, with its sights and gastronomic delicacies, as well as the bus parking space directly at the shipping pier guarantees a relaxed and stress-free embarkation and disembarkation of passengers.
Austria’s only Trappist’s monastery Engelszell, with one of the stylistically most pure rococo churches of Austria, is known for its delicious liqueurs and cheeses.
Directly next to the monastery you can visit the “Wassererlebnis Mini-Donau” (water adventure mini-Danube) with the Engelszeller garden of the senses (part of Engelhartszell’s Danube world). Here, the Danube can be experienced in an innovative and unique way.
