Fritz-Fröhlich hiking trail (duration 1h 45 minutes) For many residents in Wilhering and Ottensheim, Beatrix and Fritz Fröhlich's journeys on the "Ottensheim wire rope bridge" between the two studios are a fond memory of the artist's everyday life, which always connected the two sides of the Danube. In this spirit, two cross-Danube hiking trails were opened in May 2010 to mark the 100th anniversary of the artist's birth.
The Fritz Fröhlich-WEg is a circular route from Wilhering Abbey with the Fröhlich collection and the artist's Wilhering studio to Fröhlich's final resting place at Ottensheim cemetery and back to Wilhering.
