This 26m deep well was rediscovered in 2003. Chiseled out of the granite, it dates from the construction of the castle in the year 1225. The well-house has been reconstructed according to a votive painting dating from 1499. A replica cannon in the North bay stands as a reminder of the many times the town has been called to battle to defend itself.
