District Government Building

Build in 1695 as a private residence for the merchant, Andreas Schacky, this building has long since served as government offices. It began ots official career as a land disputes and did not become the district commissioner`s office it still is today until 1854. The Classical faqade was added after the fires of 1779 and 1809.

It began its official career as a land registry in 1782, but was later recast as an Austro-Hungarian court for land disputes and did not become the district commissioner's office it still is today until 1854.
