The Baroque housefront that encircles the ancient Market Place reflects the prosperity of the town´s linen merchants living here in the 15th century.
The ancient Market Place in Lembach and the streets leading from it are rich in architectural gems. The lovely Baroque houses dominate the center and are a lasting symbol of the market town´s medieval wealth.
To commemorate the Farmer´s War of 1626, a Farmer´s War Fountain was installed next to the pillory (1612) on the downtown square in 1987.
