Botanical Gardens Linz

The Botanical Gardens on the "Gugl" are among the most beautiful in Europe.

Over an area of 42,000 m², there are more than 10,000 various types of plants to admire. In the five greenhouses the splendor of exotic specimens predominates the garden´s unique collection of some 1,000 cacti, the finest in Europe.

The natural conditions allow the exhibited plants to be grouped in complete landscapes, so that visitors can imagine they are in the middle of the plant´s natural habitat.

Immerse yourself in the fragrant beauty of a fabled flower at the Rosarium, see a multihued oasis of alpine flowers at the Alpinum and delight in the flamboyant, delicate, and bizarre floral gems that transport you to exotic locales at the Tropic House.
