The concert hall created by the Finn Heikki Siren in 1974 is not only an impressive example of modern architecture but above all a hub of cultural and social life in Linz. Dubbed the "Linz Cake of Steel and Glass" when it opened, the event centre has become a world-renowned concert hall. Karajan, Bernstein, Böhm, Maazel, Abbado and many other greats have conducted and continue to conduct the world's most important orchestras here.

Every year, musicians from all over the world thrill the audience at the Brucknerhaus Linz. The highlight is the annual International Bruckner Festival Linz, which is an integral part of Austria's cultural events.
