Creates in 1963 by Prof. Hans Wimmer of Munich, this fountain symbolizes just how important water still is to the town of Schärding. And not just the health-giving waters of its springs or even the navigable waters of the Inn - wich these days are used for power generation too. The fountain also reminds us of the ever present danger of flooding shoud the Inn burst its banks.
Built in 1963 by Prof. Hans Wimmer, Munich. The large basin symbolizes Schärding´s wealth of water, its navigation, the electricity derived from the Inn power plants, the warm and cold water cures but also the flood threat, the town has been repeatedly exposed to.
