Wallfahrtskirche Maria Bründl - Bründlkirche - Glatzingerbründl

Kopfing im Innkreis, Oberösterreich, Österreich
  • Suitable for groups

The tiny red wave, depicted in Kopfing´s heraldic flag, is a symbol of "Rotbründl"...

... A spring which is said to have healing water.

Around 1600 the so-called Rotbründl Chapel was built in the immediate vicinity of the spring. The red star reminds of a miracle happened in 1755 when a real red star appeared on the horizon and stayed there seven days.
