The church "St. Jakobi" was first mentioned in documents in 1363, it was not until 1542 that it was elevated to an independent parish and has been a parish church since 1969. The old masonry of the original Romanesque church can still be seen in the east wall of the nave (14th century). The church was largely rebuilt towards the end of the 15th century in the late Gothic style into a three-aisled hall church. The tower, built in 1480, was raised by one storey in 1528, the oriel turrets were walled up and frescoes were painted on top, which were rediscovered during the renovation in 1987. In 1849, the tower was given its pyramid roof, which still exists today, and thus its current height of 48 metres. The late Gothic red marble baptismal font from 1514 with a rococo centrepiece is an interesting addition. In 1863, Anton Bruckner played on the former Perg organ, and in 1983 the new organ with 23 sounding stops was installed.
