Mühlkreisbahnhof (Mühlkreis Railroad Station)

The Mühlkreisbahn is a standard-gauge, single-track branch line of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) and runs from Linz Urfahr station through the Mühlviertel region in Upper Austria, north of the Danube River, to Aigen-Schlägl at the foot of the Bohemian Forest.  Route: Linz/Urfahr - Aigen-Schlägl
Opened on 17 October 1888. The railway, pulled by diesel locomotives, takes you to Aigen-Schlägl in around 1 1/2 hours and overcomes a gradient of 46 ‰ between Rottenegg and Gerling.
