The STADTBÜCHEREI SCHÄRDING, a decades-old institution of the municipality of Schärding, sees itself as a promoter of reading, further education and culture.

We would like to provide our readers with the necessary reading material to motivate them to practise this valuable cultural technique.

The library is located about 100 metres west of the upper town square, in the cultural building of the town of Schärding, which also houses the town archive and part of the town museum.
On an area of 264 m², spread over 2 floors, approx. 13,500 media are available for loan, which are divided into different sections (books, magazines, CDs, DVDs).
About 1 800 readers are registered as library users. We would be delighted to welcome you as a new reader.
