A parish hall with enough space for celebrations and a parish hall where the numerous parish groups can find a home - that was the parish council's brief to the planner.
The parish centre is now a clearly and clearly designed building that is subordinate to the main building - the church and the old vicarage - and at the same time brings a clear order to the rooms.
In collaboration with and with financial support from the market town of Wilhering, the funeral parlour and the open space created by the construction work were completely redesigned. The new parish square with fountain is an open space that invites people of all ages to linger and is particularly popular with children and young people.
The parish centre consists of a (incl. stage) 150 square metre room. The parish centre consists of a 150 square metre parish hall (including stage), which is particularly bright and friendly thanks to its folding glass doors and also allows the parish square to be included in various celebrations.
In the basement of the parish hall is the parish hall, which is accessed via a separate entrance from the parish square. This area, which also includes a small craft room and toilet facilities, is used extensively by various groups from the parish.
On the ground floor, an intermediate wing (usable area approx. 80 square metres), in which there is a foyer with a bar area, cloakrooms and toilet facilities, connects the old vicarage with the parish hall. During the revitalisation of the old vicarage, numerous requirements of the Federal Monuments Office were met and the façades were restored according to the original old views.
All rooms were designed to be barrier-free throughout and thus also offer people with physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in social life without restriction.
The parish centre with all its rooms is a meeting place to which everyone is cordially invited.
