The theatre is located in the vaulted cellar of Ennsegg Castle in Enns (Upper Austria), which was built in the 16th century.
The 1st princely or ducal castle (stone construction) was built in the northern part of the town hill around 1100. When this also fell into disrepair, Ennsegg Castle was built in its place around 1570.
Since 2006, the vaulted cellar has been used by the Sellawie Theatre and is constantly being adapted. A new stage with 160 seats and a new barrier-free entrance and foyer were built in 2011.
The entrance to the theatre is located in the castle park. The WC facilities are located in the main wing of the castle.
