k.u.k. Hofbäckerei

Right next to the main square of Linz, at the Pfarrplatz, a small jewel is hidden. The k.u.k. Hofbäckerei with its cosy café has been enchanting visitors from all over the world with its delicious baked goods for 25 years.
Tip: Kaiserkuchen, Linzer Torte
In a house steeped in history (first documented mention in 1371) with the oldest preserved wooden façade in the city, fresh bread, delicious cakes and pastries are served daily - and, as our customers repeatedly assure us, the best pastries in the city!
The historical furnishings in the café are complemented by many pictures and books from and about the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. Monarchy. Over breakfast, coffee and cake or a small snack in between, our visitors can escape everyday life here for a while. And if the master baker and member of the traditional Dragoon 15 regiment, Fritz Rath, has a moment, he will be happy to entertain you with one or two anecdotes from this important period.
