School classes take a look at the art depot

The Schaudepot offers a look behind the scenes of museum work. With around 550 exhibits, the depot located along the "Behrens Belt" in the Tabakfabrik Linz provides an exemplary insight into the collections of the museums of the city of Linz.

During guided tours and research workshops in the Schaudepot, schools can learn more about the history of the tobacco factory, the museum work behind the scenes of the Stadtmuseum or the collection of the Nordico Stadtmuseum. The guided tours and art talks are open to discussion and are geared to the level of knowledge, interests and needs of the children and young people as well as the respective educational goals.

In the Schaudepot in the tobacco factory we discover what happens behind the scenes of a museum. We deal with collecting, arranging and storing everyday history. In the process, we learn a lot about the Tabakfabrik location and develop our own stories about the objects in the Schaudepot. What would we like to put in a depot ourselves?
