Zoo School

Turn the zoo into a classroom and offer your pupils the opportunity to "comprehend" with all their senses. Encounters with live animals and learning with a real-life connection are of great concern to Linz Zoo.

As part of an exciting and, above all, educational visit to the zoo, guided tours and entire project days are offered that are specially adapted to the requirements and interests of different school levels and curricula. Pupils of all ages are welcome!

The guided tours are offered on the following topics:
Clothes make animals
When animals are hungry - carnivores, herbivores & omnivores
Usable animals - from the farm to the Andes
Dream job as an animal keeper

It is also possible to expand the guided tours into a whole "project day" or to teach young people the basics of modern ethology.

Of course, the Linz Zoo can also be explored by the pupils on their own initiative and without a guide. For this purpose, the zoo offers teachers and supervisors working materials - suitable for different age groups.

Guided tours can be booked for groups of 10 or more.
