The wild urban bees

Honey bee, furry bee, furrow bee, stone bumblebee and garden bumblebee are only a few representatives of the approximately 700 species of bees in Austria.
Despite its industrial character, Linz has a very high number of green spaces and near-natural habitats compared to other cities. We go on a hike and look for and find niches and small islands of happiness for insects, hedgehogs and other wildlife in the city. At some locations these have been newly created, at others old habitats have been reactivated.
At the end of the tour, the participants will come into direct contact with bees (at the
beehive). The aim of this tour is to make things tangible by touching them, which is why the active participation of the participants is expressly desired.
