Stairway to Heaven in St. Mary's Cathedral

This tour leads you all the way up to the highest vantage point of a church in Austria.

The tour takes you past the impressive Rudigier Hall and the imposing peal of seven bells, up a new steel staircase through the tower to the uppermost stone balcony at a height of 112 metres. Experience a spectacular 360-degree view of Linz and the surrounding area, as far as the Salzkammergut and the Ötscher in Lower Austria.

Important note: The tour leads up 633 steps to the top stone balcony of the Mariendom at a height of around 112 metres. The tour is not barrier-free and therefore not suitable for wheelchair users or people with walking aids. We also strongly advise people who suffer from a fear of heights not to take part. The tour is also not suitable for children under 6 years of age.

Small groups of up to 7 people.
For groups of up to 14 people, the stairway is offered as part of a two-hour highlight tour, divided into two groups.
