Day 1, arrival in Passau

Parking (approx. € 10,- per day) bookable and payable on site. Your rental bike (if booked) will be waiting for you at the arrival hotel. Our tip: 3-river round trip by boat. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼hotel.

Past Engelhartszell (Römerburgus Oberranna, UNESCO World Heritage Site) to the Schlögener Schlinge. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ hotel.

Through the sparsely populated Engtal valley to the Danube town of Ottensheim. By S-Bahn (every half hour, payable locally) to Linz. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ hotel.

Along the Danube to St. Florian (abbey). By ferry to Mauthausen and on to the day's destination. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼hotel.

Through the Strudengau region and on to Maria Taferl, Austria's second largest place of pilgrimage, or on to Marbach. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼hotel or 3☼☼☼hotel.

Continue to Melk (abbey), past beautiful vineyards into the famous wine-growing region of Wachau and to the day's destination. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼hotel.

To the garden city of Tulln, including the garden show (Tulln Garden). Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼☼hotel.

Past Klosterneuburg (monastery) to the imperial city. Overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼ hotel.

Return journey by bus from Hotel Wien every Saturday, remaining days by train (2nd class/free choice of train, every 2 hours, no transfer to/from the station). Return transfer of own bikes on return day Friday to Monday with drop-off the day before in Vienna + € 38. Individual extension possible.
