Old forester's lodge Freinberg

The old forester's lodge in Freinberg is a typical Innviertel four-sided farmhouse. It is a rarity in our northernmost municipality in the Innviertel. Apart from the barn, the farm buildings are in their original condition. It is a meeting place for our citizens and the area bordering Passau. The building is mentioned in old documents as early as the 17th century. The adjoining troad box with peasant paintings dates back to 1786. The small but very fine museum tells about the centuries of tegel mining in Freinberg, about life with the border and customs, as well as about the development and emergence of the dialects in our border region. The individual dialects are made audible on a large digital table. With its many rooms, the Alte Forsthaus Freinberg is also very suitable for seminars, weddings and family celebrations.
