Granite pilgrimage - circular trail
Multi-day circular hike in the upper Mühlviertel. The Mühlviertel is the ideal place to find yourself. Here, where stony granite asserts its place in the landscape and even people are immovable, you feel at home from the very first step.
The beautiful low mountain region of the Upper Mühlviertel with its impressive places offers ideal conditions for spiritual hikes. The numerous places of power between the rivers and the granite in the beautiful natural surroundings make it possible for pilgrims to feel at ease and recharge their batteries. Granite and water are the basic elements of this region. Granite also characterises the history of this land - and is more than just a name for the granite pilgrimage.
The granite pilgrimage hiking trail leads in three to four daily stages over a total length of 95 kilometres through the south-eastern region of the Rohrbach district. 10 villages from St. Martin i. M. to Helfenberg are connected by the trail. The signposting runs in a clockwise direction. The start is in St. Martin i. M. at the Granite Pilgrim Monument, but it is possible to start anywhere along the circular route.
Suggested stages can be found at: www.granitpilgern.at
