Important information according to Upper Austrian fishing law
An annual fishing licence (licence book) is required for fishing with fishing authorisation (ID) and can be purchased online on the website of the Upper Austrian Fishing Association.
As soon as payment has been made and proof has been provided, fishing licences (daily/weekly/monthly/annual licence) can be purchased for the desired waters. Fishing licences are also available online at www.hejfish.com.
Registration for an annual fishing licence
Persons who do not have or cannot present a fishing licence are entitled to fish with a guest fishing permit . The guest fishing licence will be sent to the manager by the Upper Austrian Fishing Association upon application.
The guest fishing licence is valid for 3 weeks and is only valid together with a photo ID. Guest fishermen must be 12 years of age or older and may only purchase a maximum of two guest fishing permits in one calendar year.
