History - Architecture - Culture: Experience the history of Austria's oldest city in the modern exhibition in the historical ambience of Ennsegg Castle.
The story told in the new museum begins in 1186 with the "Georgenberger Handfeste", which is regarded as Austria's first state treaty due to the peaceful union of the duchies of "Austria and "Styria", and with the "Stadtrechtsprivileg", the first city in Austria to be granted this privilege in 1212, making Enns the oldest city in our country.
In eight rooms at Ennsegg Castle, visitors start their walk through the development of the town of Enns up to the present day. Multimedia stations and room displays help visitors to experience the town's history up close, understand it better and remember it for longer.
Varied room designs and sometimes scenic productions guarantee an interesting, entertaining and eventful visit to the museum for the whole family - with a lasting effect.
In addition to a wide range of guided tours, we also offer age-specific educational programmes for school classes at the museum. You can find all the information you need at: enns-museen.at/schools_and_workshops
