The singular success story of one of the most famous brass ensembles in the world has been going on for over 50 years now: Canadian Brass. After the brass quintet was founded in 1970 by two friends, Chuck Daellenbach and Gene Watts, their joint creativity, their individually perfected musical skills and the desire to explore all the possibilities of a pure brass formation quickly became an unmistakable trademark.
Each a virtuoso on their own instrument, the five members share their enthusiasm for the brass sound with ever new audiences. Over the past decades, Canadian Brass has filled concert halls in the USA, Canada, Japan and Europe. They were the first western brass ensemble to perform in the People's Republic of China and have played in Australia, the Middle East, Russia and South America. They present themselves everywhere as masters of the art of brass playing, with a unique stage presence and an exciting mixture of dedication, enthusiasm and spontaneity.
