At the World of Lights by IKUNA from 21 November 2025 to 1 February 2026, a 1 km long, sparkling path leads through the forest at night. From 21 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, an Advent & arts and crafts market adds to the magic. Afterwards, snuggle up in starry sky chalets or tipi suites and let the twinkling lights fade away.

On the weekends from 21 November to 21 December 2025, the Forest Christmas on the treetop path will have thousands of lights dancing between the treetops. In addition to arts and crafts , savoury delicacies await and children shake snow in the gingerbread house with Mother Hulda on Saturdays. An overnight stay in the tree hotel makes the experience perfect.

Schärding

Tea, punch, mulled wine and mulled cider often warm you up better than a scarf on some days. The liquid Christmas classics are available from 28 November to 21 December 2025 at the Schärdinger Winterzauber in the romantic Seilergraben. Changing stalls provide gift ideas, and on 8 December 2025, a Perchten run rushes through the baroque town.

Advent is best experienced from the water, with views of the illuminated towns along the Danube as you sit surrounded by sparkling Swarovski crystals in the warmth. The “Christmas Magic” cruises departing from Linz usually take place on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays between November 14 and December 20 2025, offering enchanting Christmas evening cruises on the river. There are also pre-Christmas buffet cruises, a St. Nicholas cruise, and a New Year's Eve cruise.
