We can enter the valley on the left or right side of the creek, via the Kneipp adventure trail (across the footbridge at the forest pool). At Klausbrücke we switch to the left side of the creek (looking downstream). Passing a mighty rock formation called "Klausbachdachl" up to the "Forest Devotion". Continue to the "Höhrtrichter" station (nice adventure playground for children in and by the water) up to the "Bruno footbridge". There we cross the creek to the right side, or go straight over the Gaiskirche. Passing the "Bruno spring" with Marian chapel (legend of the miner Bruno, who returned from the crusades with leprosy and was healed at this spring). Diagonally opposite on the left creek side is a huge rock, the "Gaiskirche". Continue over the "Schlager bridge" to the "Schlager hut" (covered resting place with tables and benches). After the ascent at "Fairy and nymph grove" the path branches off to the left over the Jäger footbridge. Straight ahead the ascent to Grabenbauer, up to St. Martin street which we cross and turn left onto the sidewalk, following the signs. Where the sidewalk ends, go right and shortly after left, crossing St. Martin street again and then continue on a meadow path to the forest, straight ahead to the intersection with Prälatensteig, turn right there, the path goes gently downhill, after about 100 meters keep right until the forest ends, then cross the Landshaag-St. Martin road, follow the signs to "Faustschlössl". Here we have a magnificent view of the Danube, towards Aschach and the Aschach Danube power plant.
Down and along the Danube to after the Fischerhof Peterseil through the old town center to the old fire brigade house, cross St. Martin street a little to the left in the district "Himmelreich", then turn left and go uphill through the forest following the markings until we reach the intersection with Prälatensteig again. There turn right and hike along the Sechterberg farm road past orchards to Bad Mühllacken. At the fire station turn left, in a few minutes you will reach the village square and the forest pool.
