Ars Electronica Festival 2025

Ars Electronica is one of the world’s largest media art venues, a digital music festival, a showcase for creativity and innovation, and a playground for the next generation – Ars Electronica is a world-class festival for art, technology and society.

"PANIC - yes/no" is the title of this year's Ars Electronica. The internationally renowned festival for art, technology and society is dedicated to the major crises of our time. The focus is on the question of how we react to all the upheavals, collapses - and perhaps also new beginnings - and what role art can play in giving us orientation and scope for action in the profound transformation of our world. What perspectives does it open up? What spaces for reflection, exchange and hope does it create? And what answers does it provide beyond panic - or perhaps even through it?

From September 3 to 7, Linz will once again become a hotspot for the international media art scene. Exhibitions, performances, concerts and conferences will be held at locations throughout the city, most of them at POSTCITY, the festival's central venue. Award-winning artists and high-ranking representatives from art and culture, renowned academics and up-and-coming students, entrepreneurs and political decision-makers from Europe and around the world are expected to attend.
