Overriding time and space, the Schütz Art Museum has been initiating an active transcontinental artistic dialog since its opening in autumn 2021 and is now, in its 5th anniversary year, setting further innovative accents of creativity, inspiration and spirituality.
Based on an outstanding collection of classical modern art from Austria - consisting of representative exhibits by artists such as Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka, Kubin, Carl Moll, Egger-Lienz, Eisenschitz et alli - the Schütz Art Museum promotes a discursive dialog with contemporary art. The collection, now presented to the public for the first time in this comprehensive form, clearly shows the equalizing momentum that can arise through openness and dialogue.
"Out of the ivory tower, towards the people!" is the motto of the collector couple, who also offer contemporary artists the opportunity for free creative development and you, our valued audience, rare insights into the creative process. In addition to the presentation of exquisite art, a place of exchange and democratic cooperation is created. The aim is to inhale the living art, to take part in an exchange, to view the exhibits at the heart of the collection as well as the constantly new, discursive perspectives, or simply to linger, reflect and enjoy ...
