More than 700 years of history:
Engelszell Abbey looks back on an eventful past—from its founding in 1293, through its dissolution in the 18th century, to its reestablishment by Trappist monks in the 20th century. To this day, its spiritual and economic traditions continue to shape the life of the monastic community.

We ask tour groups arriving by bus to register their visit in advance!
The church is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.!
