Theory in the Basement #41

Courage – Transforming Mobility Spaces: Processes, Stakeholders, and Design.

The publication “Courage” explores ways and measures to promote walking and cycling, improve the quality of life, and increase green spaces in public areas. As a practical resource for actual project implementation, it presents not only spatial analyses of transformation processes but also visualizations of data on decision-making processes and the involvement of all stakeholders—from policymakers to citizens. A series of essays contextualizes and reflects on current transformation projects.

The guest speaker is Aglaée Degros, professor and director of the Institute of Urban Design at Graz University of Technology. The evening will be moderated by Markus Vogl, professor of urban design at the University of Art and Design Linz.

The event will be held in English.
