Under the guidance of experts, children aged 7 and over design nesting aids for wild bees. A creative adventure that brings the world of wild bees closer and offers exciting insights. In German language.
Workshop for children aged 7 and over with Gudrun Fuß and Thomas Schiefecker
Wild bees generally live solitary lives and do not form colonies, which means that each female has to look after her offspring and provide for them herself. This is not always easy, especially as there are not always enough suitable nesting sites available. Two thirds of native species build their nests in the ground, but a good proportion rely on beetle feeding galleries in rotten wood. For this group, we want to build suitable nesting aids that are readily accepted by the insects. The right material, precise construction and correct installation are crucial for this. Then nothing will stand in the way of observing wild bees in your own garden or on your balcony.
For children aged 7 and over (accompanied), max. 12 children.
