Transience

Kristin Reichelt, Manuela Rathberger, Karl Mayrhofer, Alexandra Sösser. Four photographers, six series - six attempts to get close to the passing of time.

What passes leaves traces. In faces, in walls, in landscapes. This exhibition brings together photographic works that tell of this: of change, of disappearance, of staying while walking. They show that silence is not absence, but a form of presence.

Each series follows its own path.

There are three women - grandmother, mother, daughter - in pictures that seem like memories. Not loud, not sentimental. Their faces carry time, their gazes wander on to where words no longer suffice.

This exhibition does not want to explain anything. It wants to show. Because transience is not a flaw in the system - it is the system.
