3 Places. 1 Trail - Hiking Brings People Together in Schärding

The event is part of the “Hiking Brings People Together” series. Guided hiking adventures invite participants to discover the Danube region of Upper Austria together. The focus is on experiencing nature, regional highlights, culinary delights, and exploring these hospitable communities together.

We’ll set off together at 10 a.m.—with an official opening and welcome right at the trailhead. That’s also where you’ll find the hiking passport: Anyone who participates in four “Hiking Brings People Together” events can look forward to a surprise prize. After all, exploring together isn’t just about building connections—it should also be rewarded.

On Sunday, September 13, 2026, Tourismus und Stadtmarketing Schärding GmbH invites you to a group hiking event under the motto “3 Places. 1 Trail – Hiking Brings People Together.”

The hike begins and ends at Hessen-Rainer Platz in Schärding. The route takes participants from Schärding through Brunnenthal, Bubing, and Otterbach, and back to the Baroque town.

Along the varied route, participants can look forward to exciting information points, regional highlights, and creative rest stops that invite them to linger, explore, and get involved. Experience the diversity of the three communities step by step and enjoy a day full of activity, encounters, and unique experiences along the shared trail.
