Two Duos from Graz at Tribüne

Eva Plankton & Son Of The Velvet Rat: A sound that blends Norah Jones’ intimacy, Springsteen’s storytelling, and the epic soundscapes of U2.

The Graz-based duo, consisting of singer Eva Plankton and guitarist Peter Taucher, attracted increased attention last year during the release tour of their album "Devil On My Lips" throughout Austria. Not least due to the unconventional and experimental duo language, which is characterised by fragility and spherical melancholy with driving beats, the duo captivates with high musical quality and penetrating stories in their original compositions.

The musical basis is pop, which is combined with influences from genres such as jazz, soul and rock. With the help of loops and polyphony, a powerful sound experience is created, as if a whole band were on stage.
