The Linz-based artist Dietmar Brehm has been working in the media of film, video, painting, drawing and photography for several decades.
The exhibition at the Schlossmuseum Linz focuses on his paintings and drawings from the last decade. Brehm's painting is characterized by an unmistakable visual language, often with a few, concise signs that he places on the canvas. Despite recognizable forms and reduced settings, his pictorial inventions are never easy to decipher. Rather, it is an enigmatic play of signs and supposed codes that characterizes his pictorial world. A separate room in the exhibition will also be dedicated to Brehm's experimental film work, which has also been recognized internationally for decades.Schlossberg 1, 4020 Linz
