The Botanical Garden on the Gugl is one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe. About 10,000 different plant species can be seen across its 4.2 hectares.
The Botanical Garden of the City of Linz brings together nature and culture. Sculptures by Austrian artists set amid the greenery, along with a diverse program of lectures, exhibitions, and events, make the garden a place where people and culture come together.
During the summer months, the program features concerts and readings on the open-air stage. With seating for 100 guests, the stage offers an atmospheric setting for an outdoor cultural experience.
Culinary delights are provided by Café Orchidee, featuring outdoor seating areas with a view of the greenery.
The Botanical Garden brings the experience of nature to life in both theory and practice. A modern seminar room provides space for lectures, presentations, and exhibitions.
With this diverse range of offerings, the Botanical Garden guarantees the city of Linz a sensory experience.
The greenhouses will be closed for approximately two years starting in September 2026.
