Elisa Andessner - BODY COUNTS.

For decades, Elisa Andessner's artistic practice has explored the body, space, and societal attributions. Working across performance, video, photography, and drawing, she develops works in which the body is simultaneously medium, material, and site of political and personal experience.

The exhibition BODY COUNTS brings together key groups of works from various creative phases and reveals the continuity of her artistic questions. The focus is on the body as a vehicle for memory, resistance, and self-empowerment. Reduced gestures, repetition, and precise placement characterize Elisa Andessner's work, as does her engagement with feminist perspectives.
