Ancient music - read anew

The popular "Alte Musik" concert series in Linz takes place at the Upper Austrian State Library, which is centrally located.

This concert series offers visitors the opportunity to experience early music in a vibrant setting of learning and cultural exchange.
The aim is to present contemporary interpretations of early music and to stay abreast of the latest developments in historical performance practice. The audience is offered diverse insights into our current musical landscape.
The long tradition of this series has proven its worth at every level since 1979, and we look forward to continuing to enchant our Upper Austrian audience with music from the 16th to the 19th centuries.
